The progress of the buildings (continued...)

This is the latest photos of the property asit was the 7th of October 2007

Briefly, they have not put the roof, but everything is ready for it except for a small part of building 1. They are working onthe wood-decoration of the building and importantly 95% of the windows and balcony doors are installed.

I'm not sure they can be finished for 15th of December, but if the works continues with the same speed as the last couple of monthes it would surely be possible to finish it before the middle of January 2008. I'm not an expert, so it might really be possible tokeep it on schedule. Drop a comment if anyone has expertise to predict a likely date of delivery!

EUROSPA vs CELA - Attention!

We were previously notified by our realestate agency that we could take contact with CELA (http://www.cela.fr/uk/) and not EUROSPA (http://www.eurospa.org/) to find out more about how we can use our "Credit Vacance". Notice that CELA is never mentioned in the lease-back contract. However according to CELA the negotiation between EUROSPA and CELA about the details of the contracts between CELA and EUROSPA have not yet been formally initiated. In fact EUROSPA did not contact CELA before today 1/10-2007, to offer them the potential deal.

Everything might end up with a nice and clean contract between the two companies, but I have at least decided to wait to sign the lease-back contract untill something more formal has been established. This comment is merely to make people aware of the situation, so that you can make a qualified decission on the issue. It seems that some people are very eager to make the new landlords sign and more importantly pay, even if many parts of the project are yet not clarified.

If other people have been told to contact CELA with regard to the use of the "Budget Vacance" it would be helpful for everyone that they drop a comment.

Extra Fees in new contract with EUROSPA

For the new property owners: You have recently received a new contract changing the “Gestionair”/”tenant” to EUROSPA, which is less good than the old contract with TRANSMONTAGNE. The change primarily concerns:
- You have to pay 50 euros as a fee (in cash NOT from your “credit vacance” acount) on top of the rent you pay from your “Credit vacance” acount. This fee you have to pay each time you wish to use your property. If you wish to rent any other property from EUROSPA that fee increases to 150 euros. Furthermore EUROSPA is a much smaller company than TRANSMONTAGNE, so we have less to choose from.
EXAMPLE: Say you use your property 2 weeks a year and you use one of the other EUROSPA offers one week a year for 9 years, that costs you (2×50+150)x9=2250 euros - in the old contract this was 50 euros a year no matter how many times you used your property. The same calculation gives you: (50)x9=450 euros. Our change of contract thus just cost us 1800 euros. This might not be a large amount of money over 9 years, but at the very least I would like to put pressure that the money can be taken from the “Credit vacance” acount? On top before the prices were including TVA, and in the new contract they are “without TVA”, so one can add 20% to the difference.
I would therefore like to get in contact with as many property owners as possible to figure out if we can put a joined pressure on a change of the conditions. Please send me an e-mail with your ideas and thoughts on this issue!
